Supplier Spotlight: Adorn Accessories
We’re drawing ever closer to Christmas and if you’re struggling for ideas, look no further as Adorn Accessories can help!
Visit their beautiful shop on the High Street in Stamford, or browse and buy online. I love popping in to see their new stock and ooh and ahh over the armoires filled with goodies!
I particularly love the ’1920s style’ products, which would lend themselves easily for bridal or bridesmaid jewellery.
My favourite necklaces are those abundant with pearls (obviously!):
This gorgeous choker is a steal at £38 (and on my Christmas list!):
I’m the very lucky owner of this pretty pearl and flower necklace, just £30 (I adore the blue stone clasp detail):
Bridal clutch anyone? £24:
As well as jewellery and bags, there is also a sweet smelling apothecary section to delight the senses. I love the smell of the Rose and Co treats!
I also have a hankering for this Candy Striped Umbrella .Practically perfect in every way.

Photography 101 (part deux)
Hello! It’s been a while since I last posted, and I can only apologise. Wedding season has been in full swing and I’ve been so busy with stationery and graphic design work for most of this year that my poor little blog has been neglected!
Yesterday I attended a photography workshop in Leeds hosted by Phoebe from So You’re Getting Married Blog and taught by Jaye from Tux & Tales Photography.
Photography is difficult for me. I’ve tried to learn the basics before (by the lovely and patient Sally Crane Photography) but I never got to grips with it properly and I end up taking random shots, fiddling about with dials in the hope that one photo would be worthy to showcase my work.
I realised this wasn’t the way to continue, so booked myself on the course, joined by Rachael from Marry Me Ink, Colette from All Wrapped Up Events, Kelly from Boho Weddings & Events, Anna from Far From The Wedding Crowd and Natalie from I Am Nat.
Concentrating intently, we picked up hints and tips as well as a thorough knowledge of what we needed to do in order to improve our photography skills. Jaye was a great teacher and I recommend her services to everyone not really getting to grips with their cameras – she’ll break things down for you and leave you trigger happy in no time!
Leafy Couture and Rowen & Wren were lovely enough to provide us with pretty props to photograph and the pretty tags were made by Natalie. So without further ado, here are a few of the photos I took. Hopefully, you’ll agree I’ve improved a little
Supplier Spotlight: Starlet Jewellery
I love featuring quality suppliers whom I can fully recommend personally and I knew I had to get Starlet Jewellery on the blog for you all to ooooo and ahhhhh at!
I first came across their website around 2 1/2 years ago, prior to my own wedding but having already bought my bridal jewellery. The second I stumbled upon their page, I was struck by the glamour. I’m very choosy about my jewellery and they had oodles of styles I adored!
In particular, I craved the ‘London’ earrings and I am now over the moon to report that I have a pair of my very own:
If you’re looking for bridal jewellery, or if you want some costume jewellery for an event – take a look at their selection of pretties. They have a lovely little boutique in Devon or you can find a list of stockists on their website {here}.
If you’re on a budget, they also have an outlet store on Etsy where you can pick up some of these gorgeous pieces at discounted prices. They are ex-display or samples used on photo shoots and well worth a peek!
My London earrings have certainly added a touch of glamour to working in the studio and I have been typing away wearing them and feeling very chic indeed
I also have hankerings for the rather gorgeous, Hollywood Starlet range, Regency and Bardot collections! Which are your favourites?
If you’re in the market for a beautiful wedding cake, or just like looking at them (I enjoy the tasting!), take a look at Crumb – Bespoke Suffolk Cakes….I promise you will be delighted by what you see!
Offering bespoke cake design, you can choose from a host of delicious flavours, including vanilla and berry sponge with raspberry buttercream (this makes my mouth water just thinking about it!).
Take a look at a collection of her beautiful designs below……..
I especially love the delicate pearl details on the tiered cake and the cute butterfly biscuits!

Beautiful birdcage…made for a birthday, but I would have loved this at my wedding!
Death by Chocolate (and Berries)…yum!
Sweet Raspberry Macarons
The gorgeous lady behind these creations (and many more), is Anmar. She’s such a lovely and personable gal, you will instantly fall in love with her and her passion for cakes!

Happy New Year!
Hello!
Welcome to another wonderful year!
I’ve had so many lovely enquiries from newly engaged couples as well as lots of logo design work which will keep my very busy over the next few months! I’m really looking forward to all the new designs which will be created. Huge congratulations to all those who have become engaged over the festivities/New Year and much excitement for those of you who are marrying this year!
I’m currently working on a lovely lady’s wedding stationery, the uber glamorous LoveAudrey with whom I had the pleasure of meeting at the Love My Dress Soiree last year. I’m so excited about the ‘on the day’ items I’ve created for her and can’t wait to see the photos of her gorgeous wedding…it’s set to be a very elegant affair. Be sure to check out her blog, whenever I get a few minutes to spare, I always pop by to read it as it’s so heart-warming reading her journey – plus, she has exquisite taste!
The other big news is that I’ve relocated!
My husband and I (plus pooch) moved to a gorgeous house surrounded by open fields (of which my pooch loves!). I have a lovely large studio all to myself (no more sharing with the occasional guest – they have their own room!), where, as I look out of the window, I can watch a couple of barn owls outside who are local residents. It’s perfect and will definitely get the creative juices flowing for lots of new designs.
2011 was so successful for Elle Is For Love, having received orders every week, through the whole of the year. I was so proud of my stationery business and the growth into graphic design with the wealth of logos and business literature I created for fabulous companies. I look forward to seeing what 2012 has in store for me and watching my business flourish even further! Have a great year everyone!
